THE ANKH AND THE DJED SYMBOL

The Ankh, often referred to as the "key of life" or "cross of life," resembles a cross with a loop at the top. It symbolizes life, immortality, and the afterlife. The loop at the top represents eternal life, while the crossbar represents the material world. It was frequently depicted in ancient Egyptian art and was often held by gods and pharaohs as a symbol of their divine authority.
The Djed Pillar is a symbol of stability, endurance, and strength. It resembles a column with crossbars at the top and sometimes with additional elements, such as spirals or feathers. It was associated with the god Osiris, who represented resurrection and eternal life. The Djed Pillar was often depicted in funerary contexts, symbolizing the stability of the deceased's soul in the afterlife.
When the Double Ankh and Djed Pillar symbols are combined, they represent the merging of life and stability, immortality and endurance.
